Why don’t we think about somewhere or something far away far from here… say a faraway country, stars and planets, deep blue ocean and high mountains, something very big and small, the past and the future.

Stop checking your friends’ updates on your cell-phone, forget about worrying over what to eat for today’s dinner or looking for an electric bill you need to pay by the end of the month – let’s think about things that are distant from here and now.

You can see in the history of humans that these “Distant Thoughts” have brought breakthroughs in science and technology many times. They created amazing arts and literary works as well.

In this workshop with app developer Isana Kashiwai, you are to go back and forth on your daily life, the distant world and get the hang of “Distant Thoughts”. All you need is your imagination.

This will be an interactive lecture using the audience’s body scale, be tested in short and sweet quizzes, and pose questions and receive answers about “distance”.

Admission is free.
