Sam is the CEO and Co-Founder of pitchIN, a registered market operator by the
Securities Commission to offer Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) and a pioneer of
crowdfunding in Malaysia. pitchIN is Malaysia’s leading crowdfunding platform,
having championed crowdfunding since 2012 and offering both Equity and
Reward crowdfunding services. In 2018, 75% of the funds raised on ECF was
done on pitchIN. pitchIN is also responsible to have hosted 5 issuers that raised
the maximum RM3 million and the fastest, that raised RM4 million in 38

Sam is also the CEO of WatchTower and Friends (WTF) Accelerator, a Tech
Accelerator company that invests in early stage tech startups. To date, WTF has
invested in 48 startups. Notable of them include TheLorry, Omnimatics,
Runningman, Lapasar, ParkIt, PostCo to name a few and FinTech startups,

Prior to this, Sam spent a total of 15 years in the public sector, first as a Deputy
Public Prosecutor in the Commercial Crime Unit of the Attorney-General
Chambers and later in the Market Supervision Division of the Securities
Commission. He later headed the Security, Trust and Governance Division of the
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. He is a law graduate
from University Kebangsaan Malaysia.

He has been named by Digital News Asia in their 2016-2017 Digerati 50 that will
shape the digital economy of Malaysia and FinTech’s Prominent Personality of
the Year in 2018.
